The clients’ deeds rejected to register in the Land registry due to a letter issued by the commissioner of Buddhist Affairs. Also they can’t get any permit, or did not allow constructing anything newly at all the entire Dumbara region. The Buddhist monk is saying that the entire region was gifted in Kandy era to the temple. But Department of Land settlement has issued a letter stating that the lands belonged to the residents in 2013. The client’s complained to HRCSL as well. But the final recommendation did not give by HRCSL.
